PUBLIC WATER SUPPLY (PWS) PERMITS The Department of Environmental Protection has taken the following actions on applications received under the Safe Drinking Water Act for the construction, substantial modification or operation of a public water system.
Persons aggrieved by an action may appeal, under section 4 of the Environmental Hearing Board Act (35 P. S. § 7514) and 2 Pa.C.S. §§ 501--508 and 701--704 (relating to the Administrative Agency Law), to the Environmental Hearing Board, Second Floor, Rachel Carson State Office Building, 400 Market Street, P. O. Box 8457, Harrisburg, PA 17105-8457, (717) 787-3483. TDD users may contact the Environmental Hearing Board (Board) through the Pennsylvania Relay Service, (800) 654-5984. Appeals must be filed with the Board within 30 days of publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin, unless the appropriate statute provides a different time period. Copies of the appeal form and the Board's rules of practice and procedure may be obtained from the Board. The appeal form and the Board's rules of practice and procedure are also available in Braille or on audiotape from the Secretary to the Board at (717) 787-3483. Beaver Falls, PA 15010Beaver Plan Description: The approved plan amendment provides for a basement service, gravity-heavy alternative supplemented with low-pressure sewer where topography dictates. The planning area includes the Park Gate area in the northeast region of the township, the Route 65 corridor including developments on either side of Route 65, the Wise Grove Road area on the southernmost border of the township and the Brush Creek Watershed on the eastern border of the township. This alternative incorporates 7 pump stations and 236 grinder pumps. Sewage treatment is provided at the Beaver Falls Wastewater Treatment Plant, which discharges to the Beaver River. The Department's review of the sewage facilities update revision has not identified any significant environmental impacts resulting from this proposal. Any required NPDES permits or WQM permits must be obtained in the name of the municipality or authority as appropriate.

Darlington, PA 16115Beaver Plan Description: The approved plan provides for construction of sanitary sewer lines north along SR 18 to Stockman Run, then west along Stockman Run and SR 351 to approximately 1,000 feet east of Route 60. There will also be a line size increase at the Northern Beaver Falls interceptor. A new pump station will be constructed near Stockman Run at SR 18. Sewage treatment is provided at the Beaver Falls Sewage Treatment Plant, which discharges to the Beaver River. The Wallace Run and College Pump Stations will both be replaced. The Department's review of the sewage facilities update revision has not identified any significant environmental impacts resulting from this proposal. Any required NPDES permits or WQM permits must be obtained in the name of the municipality or authority as appropriate.
