Pennsylvania 5 Card Draw Instant Lottery Game

   Under the provisions of the State Lottery Law (72 P. S. §§ 3761-1--3761-15) and the provisions of 61 Pa. Code § 819.203 (relating to notice of instant game rules), the Secretary of Revenue hereby provides public notice of the rules for the following instant lottery game:

   1.  Name:  The name of the game is Pennsylvania 5 Card Draw.

   2.  Price:  The price of a Pennsylvania 5 Card Draw instant lottery game ticket is $1.00.

   3.  Play Symbols:  Each Pennsylvania 5 Card Draw instant lottery game ticket will contain three play areas designated as Hand 1, Hand 2, and Hand 3. The play symbols and their captions located in Hand 1, Hand 2, and Hand 3 are:  A (ACE), K (KING), Q (QUN), J (JACK), 10 (TEN), 9 (NIN), 8 (EGT), 7 (SEV) and 6 (SIX).

   4.  Prize Play Symbols:  The prize play symbols and their captions located in the three play areas are: $100 (ONE), $200 (TWO), $400 (FOUR), $800 (EIGHT), $25$ (TWEN-FIV), $50$ (FIFTY), $500 (FIV HUN) and $1000 (ONE THOU).

   5.  Prizes:  The prizes that can be won in this game are $1, $2, $4, $8, $25, $50, $500 and $1,000. The player can win up to three times on each ticket.

   6.  Approximate Number of Tickets Printed For the Game:  Approximately 10,076,400 tickets will be printed for the Pennsylvania 5 Card Draw instant lottery game.

   7.  Determination of Prize Winners:

   (a)  Holders of tickets with two matching play symbols in Hand 1, Hand 2, or Hand 3, and a prize play symbol of $1000 (ONE THOU) in the prize area for that hand, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $1,000.

   (b)  Holders of tickets with two matching play symbols in Hand 1, Hand 2, or Hand 3, and a prize play symbol of $500 (FIV HUN) in the prize area for that hand, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $500.

   (c)  Holders of tickets with two matching play symbols in Hand 1, Hand 2, or Hand 3, and a prize play symbol of $50$ (FIFTY) in the prize area for that hand, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $50.

   (d)  Holders of tickets with two matching play symbols in Hand 1, Hand 2, or Hand 3, and a prize play symbol of $25$ (TWEN-FIV) in the prize area for that hand, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $25.

   (e)  Holders of tickets with two matching play symbols in Hand 1, Hand 2, or Hand 3, and a prize play symbol of $800 (EIGHT) in the prize area for that hand, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $8.

   (f)  Holders of tickets with two matching play symbols in Hand 1, Hand 2, or Hand 3, and a prize play symbol of $400 (FOUR) in the prize area for that hand, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $4.

   (g)  Holders of tickets with two matching play symbols in Hand 1, Hand 2, or Hand 3, and a prize play symbol of $200 (TWO) in the prize area for that hand, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $2.

   (h)  Holders of tickets with two matching play symbols in Hand 1, Hand 2, or Hand 3, and a prize play symbol of $100 (ONE) in the prize area for that hand, on a single ticket, shall be entitled to a prize of $1.

   9.  Number and Description of Prizes and Approximate Odds:  the following table sets forth the approximate number of winners, amounts of prizes, and approximate odds of winning:

   9.  Retailer Incentive Awards:  The Lottery may conduct a separate Retailer Incentive Game for retailers who sell Pennsylvania 5 Card Draw instant lottery game tickets. The conduct of the game will be governed by 61 Pa. Code § 819.222 (relating to retailer bonuses and incentives).

   10.  Unclaimed Prize Money:  For a period of 1 year from the announced close of Pennsylvania 5 Card Draw, prize money on winning Pennsylvania 5 Card Draw instant lottery game tickets will be retained by the Secretary for payment to the persons entitled thereto. If no claim is made within 1 year of the announced close of the Pennsylvania 5 Card Draw instant lottery game, the right of a ticket holder to claim the prize represented by the ticket, if any, will expire and the prize money will be paid into the State Lottery Fund and used for purposes provided for by statute.

   11.  Governing Law:  In purchasing a ticket, the customer agrees to comply with and abide by the State Lottery Law (72 P. S. §§ 3761-1--3761-15), the regulations contained in Part V of Title 61 of the Pennsylvania Code (relating to State Lotteries) and the provisions contained in this notice.

   12.  Termination of the Game:  The Secretary may announce a termination date, after which no further tickets from this game may be sold. Such announcement will be disseminated through media used to advertise or promote Pennsylvania 5 Card Draw or through normal communications methods.
