Notice of Beginning of Review; Certificates of Need

   The Department has completed its preliminary assessment of the following applications for the offering, devel-opment, construction, renovation, expansion or establishment of reviewable clinically related health services or health care facilities. This notice is published in accordance with sections 702(c), 704(a) and 704(b) of the Health Care Facilities Act (35 P. S. §§ 448.702(c), 704(a) and 704(b)).

   CON-95-H-2387-B: Western Pennsylvania Hospital, 4800 Friendship Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15225. The project involves the establishment of a 30 bed hospital-based skilled nursing unit through the conversion of acute care beds, at an estimated cost of $2,055,000.

   CON-95-A-2461-B: Raytel Medical Corporation/MRI Diagnostics-Norristown, 1651 Markley Street, Norristown, PA 19401. The project involves adding an open MRI Unit, at an estimated cost of $1,250,000.

   CON-95-I-0581-C: Horizon Hospital System, 110 North Main Street, Greenville, Mercer County, PA 16125. The application is for a change in scope to a previously approved low-risk adult diagnostic cardiac catheterization service at Horizon Hospital System, Greenville Division. There will be no additional capital cost.

   CON-95-A-2574-B: North Philadelphia Health System, Eighth Street at Girard Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19122. The project involves establishment of a 55-bed hospital-based skilled nursing unit through conversion of beds at Girard Medical Center, at an estimated cost of $250,000.

   The projects are scheduled to be reviewed and a decision rendered by the Department of Health within 90 days beginning February 17, 1996. Interested persons, as defined in section 103 of the act (35 P. S. § 448.103) may request a public meeting. Requests must be made in writing within 15 days of this notice, to the Department of Health, Division of Need Review, Room 1027, Health and Welfare Building, Harrisburg, PA 17120. In order to preserve any appeal rights under section 506(a) of the act (35 P. S. § 448.506(a)), regarding the decisions made on these applications, any interested person as defined in the act must request a public meeting and participate in that meeting.

   If the Department of Health receives a timely request for public meeting, such meeting will be held in Room 812 of the Health and Welfare Building, Seventh and Forster Streets, Harrisburg, PA. Western Pennsylvania Hospital public meeting will begin at 3 p.m., Friday, March 8, 1996. Raytel Medical Corporation public meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and Horizon Hospital System public meeting will begin at 3 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 1996. Public meeting for North Philadelphia Health System will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 9, 1996. Persons who need an accommodation due to a disability and want to attend a meeting, please contact Jack W.
