Finding

Indiana County

   Pursuant to the provisions of 75 P. S. Section 2002 (b), the Secretary of Transportation makes the following written finding:

   The Department of Transportation is proposing a project to reconstruct existing U.S. Route 22 (S. R. 0022, Section B07) beginning approximately 304.80 meters (1,000 feet) west of S. R. 0119 in Salem Township, Westmoreland County and extending east approximately 16.09 kilometers (10 miles to the S. R. 0022 intersection with S. R. 0217 in Burrell Township, Indiana County. The project consists of widening existing S. R. 0022 to the north and south of the existing roadway centerline to minimize the environmental impact. The Department of Transportation has received environmental clearance in the form of a Finding of No Significant Impact from the Division Administrator of the Federal Highway Administration.

   No adverse environmental effect is likely to result from the reconstruction of this section of highway.
