   Sealed proposals will be received by Jeffrey L. Hess, Purchasing Manager, at the Administration Building, Harrisburg-East Interchange near Highspire, PA (Mailing Address: P. O. Box 67676, Harrisburg, PA 17106-7676) and publicly opened and read at the date and time indicated for the following contract:

   Contract No. 98-024-RM45-C--Bridge repairs between M.P. 326.832, Exit 24 and M.P. 358.11, Exit 30, on the PA Turnpike System East-West Mainline and between M.P. A-0.00, Exit 25A and M.P. A-37.22, Exit 33 on the Northeast Extension in Montgomery, Bucks and Lehigh Counties, PA

   Bid Opening Date--February 17, 1999, 2 p.m.

   Bid Surety--5%

   Plans, specifications and contract documents will be available and open to public inspection on January 7, 1999, at the Administration Building. Copies may be purchased upon payment of $25 per set by check or P. O. Money Order (No Cash) to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, Attention: Secretary-Treasurers Office, P. O. Box 67676, Harrisburg, PA 17106-7676. No refund for any reason will be made for plans, specifications and contract documents.

   A Prequalification Certification and Maximum Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Committee of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project.
