   A prehearing telephone conference initiated by the Administrative Hearings Office shall occur on December 2, 1999 at 1 p.m. The proceedings in this matter will be governed by the Administrative Agency Law, 2 Pa.C.S. §§ 501--508 and 701--704, the General Rules of Administrative Practice and Procedure, 1 Pa. Code §§ 31.1 et seq. and the Insurance Department's Special Rules of Administrative Practice and Procedure, 31 Pa. Code Chapter 56. A hearing shall be held on December 16, 1999 at 9 a.m. in the Administrative Hearings Office, Room 200, Capitol Associates Building, 901 North Seventh Street, Harrisburg, PA 17102.

   On or before November 24, 1999, each party shall file with the Administrative Hearings Office a prehearingstatement which shall contain: (1) a comprehensive statement of undisputed facts to be stipulated between the parties; (2) a statement of additional contended facts; (3) names and address of witnesses along with the specialties of experts to be called; (4) a list of documents to be used at the hearing; (5) special evidentiary or other legal issues; and (6) the estimated time for that party's case. No prehearing memoranda or other written submissions are required for the prehearing/settlement telephone conference; however, the parties are encouraged to discuss settlement and possible stipulations pending the conference.

   A written request for continuance of the scheduled prehearing/settlement conference, for good cause, will be considered by the Presiding Officer. Prior to requesting a continuance, a party must contact the opposing party. All continuance requests must indicate whether the opposing party objects to a continuance.
