INSURANCE DEPARTMENT

Allstate Insurance Company; Homeowners Rate and Rule Filing

   On September 26, 2000, the Insurance Department received from Allstate Insurance Company a filing for a proposed rate level and rule change for homeowners insurance.

   Allstate Insurance Company requests an overall 0.0% change to be effective January 8, 2001, for new and renewal business.

   Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to November 25, 2000, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.

   Copies of the filing are available for public inspection during normal working hours, by appointment, at the Insurance Department's offices in Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Erie.

   Interested parties are invited to submit written comments, suggestions or objections to Ken Creighton, ACAS, Insurance Department, Bureau of Regulation of Rates and Policies, 1311 Strawberry Square, Harrisburg, PA 17120 (e-mail at kcreight@ins.state.pa.us) within 15 days after publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
