Controlled Insurance Program; Insurance Coverage and Service

Project No. DGS 377-1; Construction of a Prototypical 1,000 Cell Medium Security Correctional Facility, Jenks Township,
Forest County, PA

   Marsh USA will receive written proposals for a Controlled Insurance Program for the construction of the Forest County State Correctional Institution. The facility is to be located 2 miles north of Marienville, PA bordering the Allegheny National Forest. The Department of General Services has rejected all proposals due to changes in the risk element of the project.

   Separate and sealed proposals will be received at the Department of General Services, Bureau of Professional Selections and Administrative Services, Room 107, Headquarters Building, 18th and Herr Streets, Harrisburg, PA 17125. Proposals must be received at this location no later than 10 a.m. on Friday, May 4, 2001. At their option, one or more of the proposers may be required to make an oral presentation at either the Insurance Broker or Construction Manager's office. The presentation will be within 30 days of the date established for receipt of written proposals.

   Copies of the underwriting submission may be obtained at the office of Marsh USA, Six PPG Place, Suite 300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, on or after April 20, 2001.

   Proposals shall be submitted in the form described in the underwriting submission.

   For purposes of clarification, we provide the following information:

   The project team reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals.

   Work performed on any contract awarded on this project is subject to the requirements of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act.
