Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield; Rate Filing 1-DEM-00-HBCBS

   Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield has resubmitted filing 1-DEM-00-HBCBS for Insurance Department (Department) approval. This filing updates the demographic rating factors for average age, area and industry to be applied to pooled group business with 50 or fewer eligible contracts in the western Commonwealth plan region. The factor for group size one has been eliminated. The requested effective date is July 1, 2001.

   Copies of the filing are available for public inspection during normal working hours, by appointment, at the Department's offices in Harrisburg, Pittsburgh and Erie.
