 On March 19, 2014, under 52 Pa. Code § 5.41 (relating to petitions generally), the Office of the Mayor of Harrisburg, on behalf of the City of Harrisburg (City), filed a petition requesting that the City be assigned as the Sole Administrator of the 311 abbreviated dialing code so that citizens would be able to access a nonemergency number to access information regarding local government operation and services from the City government.

 Upon review of the petition, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (Commission) has determined that the solicitation of public comment is appropriate. Consequently, the Commission invites any interested party to comment on this petition and is providing this public notice soliciting comments. The deadline for comments shall be 20 days following publication in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.

 Formal protests, comments and petitions to intervene will be due by close of business, 4:30 p.m. on April 25, 2014. Filings must be made with the Secretary, Public Utility Commission, P. O. Box 3265, Harrisburg, PA 17105-3265, with a copy served on the petitioner. The petition will be published on the Commission's web site at www.puc.pa.gov or available for inspection at the Office of the Secretary in the Commission's Harrisburg office from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
