Service of Notice of Motor Carrier Applications

 The following temporary authority and/or permanent authority applications for the right to render service as a common carrier or contract carrier in this Commonwealth have been filed with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. Formal protests and petitions to intervene must be filed in accordance with 52 Pa. Code (relating to public utilities). A protest shall indicate whether it applies to the temporary authority application, the permanent authority application, or both. Protests may only be filed in the event that there is evidence that the applicant lacks fitness. Protests based on endangering or impairing operations of an existing carrier will not be honored. Filings must be made with the Secretary, Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, P.O. Box 3265, Harrisburg, PA 17105-3265, with a copy served on the applicant by November 19, 2018. Documents filed in support of the applications are available for inspection and copying at the Office of the Secretary between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and at the business address of the respective applicant.

Applications of the following for approval to begin operating as contract carriers for transportation of persons as described under each application.

A-2018-3004796. Medi-Trans Group, LLC (522 Windy Way, New Cumberland, Cumberland County, PA 17070) for MTM, Inc., from points in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, to points in Pennsylvania, and return.

A-2018-3005505. Twista Transport, Inc., t/a Twista Transport (909 North 42nd Street, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA 19104) for Pennsylvania Medical Assistance Program, from points in the Counties of Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia, to points in Pennsylvania, and return.

Applications of the following for approval to begin operating as common carriers for transportation of persons as described under each application.

A-2018-3004747. Comforting Ride Transportation Services, LLC (380 Red Lion Road, Suite 201, Huntington Valley, Montgomery County, PA 19006) in wheelchair and stretcher vans in paratransit service between points in Montgomery County.

A-2018-3005429. Quality Care Transportation Services, LLC (4400 Linglestown Road, Suite 100, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, PA 17112) in paratransit service from points in the Counties of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon and Perry, to points in Pennsylvania, and return.

Application of the following for approval of the amended right and privilege of operating motor vehicles as common carriers for transportation of persons as described under the application.

A-2018-3005136. Center for Independent Living of Central Pennsylvania (207 House Avenue, Suite 107, Camp Hill, Cumberland County, PA 17011) in paratransit service, limited to people with disabilities and adults over the age of 55 with functional limitations in mobility, from points in the Counties of Adams, Berks, Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Union and York, to points in Pennsylvania, and return.

Applications of the following for the approval of the right and privilege to discontinue/abandon operating as common carriers by motor vehicle and for cancellation of the certificate of public convenience as described under each application.

A-2018-3000375. A+ Transit, Inc. (208 Mountain Avenue, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, PA 15210) discontinuance of service and cancellation of the certificate, to transport, as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, persons in group and party service, in vehicles seating 11 to 15 passengers, including the driver, from points in Allegheny County, to points in Pennsylvania, and return; excluding service that is under the jurisdiction of the Philadelphia Parking Authority.

A-2018-3005420. Richard C. Travers, d/b/a Dubois Taxi Service (225 Maple Avenue, Dubois, Clearfield County, PA 15801) for the discontinuance of service and cancelation of the certificate as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, persons upon call and demand service, in the City of Dubois, Clearfield County, and within a 25-mile radius of said city. A-2018-3005527. Carolyn Hart (4949 Elizabethtown Road, Manheim, Lancaster County, PA 17545) for the discontinuance of service and cancellation of the certificate as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, of persons in paratransit service, limited to persons whose personal convictions prevent them from owning or operating motor vehicles, from points in Lancaster County, to points in Pennsylvania, and return.
