Extension of National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System General Permit for Discharges from Hydrostatic Testing of Tanks and Pipelines (PAG-10)

 Under The Clean Streams Law (35 P.S. §§ 691.1—691.1001) and sections 1905-A, 1917-A and 1920-A of The Administrative Code of 1929 (71 P.S. §§ 510-5, 510-17 and 510-20), the Department of Environmental Protection (Department), by this notice, extends for 12 months the availability of the current National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit for Discharges from Hydrostatic Testing of Tanks and Pipelines (PAG-10).

 The existing PAG-10 General Permit in effect at this time will expire on July 10, 2020. Persons that are currently operating under the PAG-10 General Permit may continue to operate until July 10, 2021. The Department is extending the availability of this permit to adequately complete preparation of the renewal of the PAG-10 General Permit. During the period of administrative extension, no new coverage under the PAG-10 General Permit may be authorized by the Department.
