Abolition of a Crossing

A-2019-3013783. CSX Transportation, Inc. Application of CSX Transportation, Inc. for approval of the abolition of the crossing (DOT No. 140 634 G) where Cemetery Avenue crosses above grade the tracks of CSX Transportation, Inc. located in the City of Philadelphia, Philadelphia County.

 On October 24, 2019, CSX Transportation, Inc. filed an application with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (Commission) requesting authorization to permanently abolish the public rail-highway bridge crossing where the tracks of its Philadelphia subdivision are crossed by Cemetery Avenue in the City of Philadelphia.

 Formal protests and petitions to intervene must be filed in accordance with 52 Pa. Code (relating to public utilities). Filings must be made with the Secretary of the Commission by eFiling through the Commission's web site at www.puc.pa.gov or mailing the filing by overnight delivery to the Secretary of the Commission, 400 North Street, Harrisburg, PA 17120. Copies must be served upon Administrative Law Judge Darlene Heep and counsel to CSX Transportation, Inc. on or before 15 days from the date of publication of this notice. Protests and petitions to intervene can also be eFiled on the Commission's web site at www.puc.pa.gov. A copy of CSX Transportation, Inc.'s application is available for inspection online on the Commission's web site. A public hearing will be held remotely on February 9-10, 2021, with participation information available on the public meetings and hearings page of the Commission's web site.
