Actuarial Estimate of the Changes in Workers Compensation Loss Costs; Request for Proposal
[26 Pa.B. 3382] On June 24, 1996, Governor Tom Ridge signed into law Act 57 of 1996 (Senate Bill 801) which reforms the workers compensation laws in Pennsylvania. Among other things, this legislation requires that the Insurance Commissioner appoint an independent actuary to estimate the changes in workers compensation loss costs resulting from the implementation of Act 57 of 1996, Act 44 of 1993, and from a review of data not considered in any previous loss cost filing. This notice is offered to alert interested contractors that the Insurance Department will be issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the required services on or about July 19, 1996.
Interested contractors can request a copy of the RFP by contacting Randy Rohrbaugh, Director, Bureau of Property and Casualty Insurance, 1311 Strawberry Square, Harrisburg, PA 17120, at (717) 787-4192.
LINDA S. KAISER,
Insurance Commissioner
