Office of Medical Assistance Programs; Fee Increase for Pediatric Office Visits
[26 Pa.B. 634] The Department of Public Welfare announces that effective April 1, 1995, the fee for pediatric office visits for Medical Assistance eligible individuals under 21 years of age has been changed using a Resource-Based Relative Value Scale (RBRVS) rate.
The pediatric office visit procedure codes being changed, RBRVS rates and their effective dates are:
Procedure Code RBRVS Rate Effective Date 99211 $16.50 12/1/95 99212 $22.50 4/1/95 99213 $25.00 4/1/95 99214 $30.00 4/1/95 99215 $45.00 4/1/95 The fiscal note was prepared under provision of section 612 of The Administrative Code of 1929 (71 P. S. § 232).
The Department's estimate of the cost for the fee changes for the pediatric office visits are based upon data in the Medical Assistance Management Information System. Based on the cost information received the Department estimates the cost of pediatric office visit fee schedule changes to be $5,839,000 for Fiscal Year 1995-1996 ($2,748,460) in State funds; ($3,090,540) in Federal funds.
