Procedure for Trial Commissioner Courtroom B, 1801 Vine St.; Family Court Administrative Regulation No. 96-1
[26 Pa.B. 661] And Now, this 2nd day of February, 1996, in consideration of efforts to eliminate backlog of cases scheduled for hearing in Courtroom B, 1801 Vine Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Joseph McHugh is appointed Trial Commissioner for Courtroom B, 1801 Vine Street, and is to assume complete administrative operation and caseflow responsibility for the courtroom; further, the Trial Commissioner is hereby authorized to assign court appointed counsel in appropriate cases, appoint child advocates, issue bench warrants subject to Court approval, grant continuance dates, accept withdrawals of prosecution without prejudice to the Commonwealth, maintain contact with police liaison to aid in the reduction of police overtime, and additional duties as defined by Administrative Judge of Family Court.
This Order is issued in accordance with Pa.R.C.P. No. 239 and shall become effective as of October 19, 1995. As required by Pa.R.C.P. No. 239, the original Order shall be filed with the Prothonotary and copies shall be distributed as provided by said Rule, and shall also be submitted to The Legal Intelligencer, Jenkins Memorial Law Library and the Law Library for the First Judicial District.
