Research and Demonstration Grant Program Announcement

   The Department of Transportation is announcing its 1997 Public Transportation Research and Demonstration Program. This Grant program is intended to solicit innovative approaches to improving transit's position in the intermodal transportation market place also in increasing ridership. This program is a competitive program and requires a 20% local match. Applications can be obtained by calling (717) 705-1493 or writing to PennDOT Transit Research, 555 Walnut Street, 9th Floor Forum Place Bldg., Harrisburg, PA 17110-1900 Attention: Local & Area Transportation. Applications are to be submitted by June 30, 1997.
