Application and Request for Conversion of a Mutual Insurance Corporation to a Stock Insurance Corporation and Subsequent Merger

   On June 24, 1997, Hanover Mutual Fire Insurance Company filed an application to convert from a mutual insurance corporation to a stock insurance corporation, under the Mutual-to-Stock Conversion Act, 40 P. S. § 911 et seq., Integral to this filing is an application for the converted company to merge with and into Fire and Casualty Insurance Company of America, made under 40 P. S. § 991.1402 et seq., Persons wishing to comment on the grounds of public or private interest to the issuance of the Department's order approving the conversion and subsequent acquisition are invited to submit a written statement to the Insurance Department within 15 days from the date of this issue of the Pennsylvania Bulletin. Each written statement must include name, address and telephone number of the interested party, identification of the application to which the statement is addressed, and a concise statement with sufficient detail and relevant facts to inform the Insurance Department of the exact basis of the statement.
