Proposed Revision to the Pennsylvania State Implementation Plan for Sulfur Compound Emissions
[27 Pa.B. 5143] A single comprehensive SIP revision for the sulfur dioxide nonattainment area of Conewango Township, Pleasant Township, Glade Township and the City of Warren in Warren County, PA.
The Department of Environmental Protection (Department) proposes to submit a single comprehensive State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the aforementioned area. This SIP revision contains enforceable operating permit emission limitations for the GPU Warren Generating Station and an air quality modeling demonstration indicating the area is in attainment of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards for sulfur dioxide. A nonguideline model is being employed for use in the attainment demonstration for the SIP revision.
If adopted, the proposed SIP revision will be submitted to the EPA for approval.
The public hearing will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 1997, at 1 p.m. at the Department of Environmental Protection, Warren District Office, 321 North State Street, North Warren, PA.
Persons wishing to present testimony at the hearing must contact Michael Hopko at (717) 787-4310 or at the address that follows no later than Friday, October 31, 1997, to reserve a time to present testimony. Oral testimony will be limited to 10 minutes for each witness and three written copies of the oral testimony must be submitted at the hearing. Each organization should designate one witness to present testimony on its behalf.
