Research and Demonstration Program

   The Department of Transportation is announcing its 1998 Public Transportation Research & Demonstration Program. This Grant program is intended to solicit innovative approaches to improving transit's position in the intermodal transportation market place also in increasing ridership. This program is a competitive program and requires a 20% local match. Applications can be obtained by calling (717) 705-1493 or writing to PennDOT Transit Research, 555 Walnut Street, 9th Floor, Forum Place Bldg., Harrisburg, PA 17110-1900, Attention: Local & Area Transportation or to obtain an application electronically visit our web site at WWW.PATRANSIT.PSU.EDU Applications are to be submitted by June 30, 1998.
