Public Hearing on Proposed Amendment
[28 Pa.B. 2552] On April 25, 1998, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (Commission) published a notice of proposed rulemaking at 28 Pa.B. 1954 (April 25, 1998), seeking public comments, objections or suggestions about a proposed amendment that would impose mandatory boating education for operators of personal watercraft. Specifically, the Commission sought public comments on a proposed amendment to 58 Pa. Code § 109.3 (relating to personal watercraft) that provides that effective January 1, 2000, a person may not operate a personal watercraft on the waters of this Commonwealth unless the person has obtained a boating safety education certificate.
The Commission will hold a public hearing on this proposed amendment on Tuesday, June 23, 1998, at 7--9 p.m., in the Auditorium of the Pennsylvania Game Commission, 2001 Elmerton Avenue, Harrisburg, PA.
