PENNSYLVANIA PUBLIC UTILITY COMMISSION

Delegation of Additional Routine, Ministerial and Nonpolicymaking Public Meeting Agenda Items; Doc. No. M-00970915

   The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (Commission) at its July 9, 1998, public meeting delegated certain routine ministerial and nonpolicymaking public meeting agenda items to the Bureau Directors for disposition. These matters include the following:

Bureau of Fixed Utility Services

   1.  Tariff language changes which are ministerial, corrective, administrative, or those which have been specifically required and set forth by the Commission in a regulation or policy statement.

   2.  Uncontested compliance tariff filings made in response to § 1308(d) general rate increases approved by the Commission.

   3.  Uncontested applications by the eight major electric utilities for transfer by sale of electric facilities or equipment with net depreciated values of $1 million or less, to nonaffiliated businesses or municipalities.

   4.  Uncontested local exchange telephone company extended area service filings which have no rate effect for the company's intrastate regulated services and no rate effect for the end-users of the company's intrastate regulated services.

   5.  Uncontested local exchange telephone company extended area service filings resulting in rate changes for the company's end-user customers into preexisting rate structure elements and/or bands, and where the total overall revenue effect is either neutral or decreases the company's intrastate regulated operations.

   6.  Uncontested additions of routes to preexisting and preapproved optional calling plans which have no or de minimis rate and revenue effects.

Bureau of Transportation and Safety

   1.  Uncontested motor carrier complaints carrying possible fines of up to and including an aggregate amount of $1,000, as well as possible penalties of certificate suspension or revocation.

   These items will now be addressed by Secretarial Letter. These actions may be appealed to the Commission by filing a petition within 10 days after service of notice of the action, unless a different time period is specified. 52 Pa. Code § 5.44.
