NOTICES

Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania Blue Shield; Filing No. 361-MMNGC-DE-1/99; Major Medical Non-Group Rate Increase

   Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania Blue Shield submitted a filing requesting the Insurance Department's approval to increase the monthly rates by 15.09% for the Major Medical Non-Group Rated Program for an effective date of January 1, 1999. The rate increase will produce an estimated additional annualized income of $700,000 and will affect approximately 6,000 contracts.

   Copies of the filing are available for public inspection during normal working hours, by appointment, at the Insurance Department's Harrisburg Regional Office.

   Interested parties are invited to submit written comments, suggestions or objections to Bharat Patel, Actuary, Bureau of Accident and Health Insurance, Insurance Department, 1311 Strawberry Square, Harrisburg, PA 17120, within 30 days after publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
