Appeal of Kristy L. Seemiller under the Pennsylvania Assigned Risk Plan; Hartford Insurance Group; Doc. No. P99-08-011

   Under the Pennsylvania Assigned Risk Plan, section 19, that was adopted by the Insurance Commissioner under 75 Pa.C.S. § 1741, notice is given that Kristy L. Seemiller has requested a hearing on the determination by the Pennsylvania Assigned Risk Plan management concerning the termination of her automobile policy at the request of her finance company.

   A prehearing telephone conference initiated by the Administrative Hearings Office is scheduled for October 7, 1999, at 1 p.m. A date for a hearing shall be determined, if necessary, at the prehearing telephone conference. The proceedings in this matter will be governed by 2 Pa.C.S. §§ 501--508, 701--704 (relating to the Administrative Agency Law), the General Rules of Administrative Practice and Procedure, 1 Pa. Code § 31.1 et seq. and the Insurance Department's Special Rules of Administrative Practice and Procedure, 31 Pa. Code Chapter 56.

   Motions preliminary to those at hearing, protests, petitions to intervene, or notices of intervention, if any, must be filed on or before September 9, 1999, with the Docket Clerk, Administrative Hearings Office, Capitol Associates Building, Room 200, 901 North Seventh Street, Harrisburg, PA 17102. Answers to petitions to intervene, if any, shall be filed on or before September 23, 1999.

   A written request for continuance of the scheduled prehearing telephone conference, for good cause, will be considered by the Presiding Officer. Prior to requesting a continuance, a party must contact the opposing party. Continuance requests must indicate whether the opposing party objects to a continuance.
