Request for Proposals
[29 Pa.B. 779] Sealed proposals will be received by Jeffrey L. Hess, Purchasing Manager, at the Administration Building, Harrisburg-East Interchange near Highspire, PA (Mailing Address: P. O. Box 67676, Harrisburg, PA 17106-7676) and publicly opened and read at the date and time indicated for the following contract:
Contract No. 94-002-FT29-C--Mon/Fayette Expressway, S. R. 0043, Peters Creek Extension Road, S. R. 3014, Section 52J, Construction in Washington and Allegheny Counties, PA
Bid Opening Date--March 10, 1999, 11 a.m.
Bid Surety--5%
Plans, cross-sections, specifications and contract documents will be available and open for public inspection at the Administration Building. Copies may be purchased upon payment by check or P. O. Money Order (No Cash) to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, Attention: Secretary-Treasurer's Office, P. O. Box 67676, Harrisburg, PA 17106-7676. Selection of the desired materials should be by the following designations with proper respective remittance. (Do not add State tax.) A) Construction Plans including roadway and subsurface profiles--$50; B) Cross-sections--$90; C) Specifications and Contract Bid Documents--$25; D) Total--$165.
A Prequalification Certification and Maximum Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Committee of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project.
A prebid meeting for the project under the direction of the engineer is scheduled for 10 a.m., February 17, 1999, at the field office of the Project's Construction Manager, Trumbull Corporation, 600 Park Avenue, Monongahela, PA 15063, (724) 258-9234.
