With Hearing
[30 Pa.B. 1931] C-00992850. Mount Carmel Township v. Reading, Blue Mountain and Northern Railroad, Northumberland County, and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Complainant states railroad crossings in the village of Locust Gap, PA are in deplorable condition; crossings are located at Railroad and Marshall Streets, Railroad and 1st, Railroad and 2nd, and Railroad and 5th Street. The railroad company in question has been contacted by telephone and in writing. Complainant wants railroad officials to repair the railroad crossings so that they present no dangerous situation for citizens. Crossing at 2nd and Railroad Street is utilized by a handicapped individual who is confined to a wheelchair causing an extremely dangerous situation.
An Initial Hearing on this matter will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2000 at 10 a.m. in an available hearing room, Ground Floor, North Office Building, North Street and Commonwealth Avenue, Harrisburg, PA when and where interested persons may appear and be heard, if they so desire.
