Notice of Availability of One Permit Application for Beginning New or Expanding Existing Aquaculture Production Facilities
[30 Pa.B. 2070] The Aquacultural Development Law, 3 Pa.C.S. § 4213(c) (relating to requirements for discharge of water), among other things, requires the Department of Environmental Protection (Department) to develop a consolidated permitting process for aquacultural facilities. By this notice, the Department announces the availability of the One Permit Application for use by prospective applicants. This application is modularized and consists of the application form (with several modules) and related instructions for completing the application. The One Permit Application is a consolidation of all existing separate permit applications currently in use that would have been required to be completed individually. The applicant is advised to complete and submit only the applicable modules. To understand what may be required of applicants, a preapplication conference is recommended.
The One Permit Application is available for immediate use and is accessible on the Department's web site at: http://www.dep.state.pa.us/dep/deputate/watermgt/watermgt.htm.
It is also available by contacting one of the Department regional offices or from the Division of Wastewater Management, Bureau of Water Quality Protection at: Bureau of Water Quality Protection, Division of Wastewater Management, Rachel Carson State Office Building, P. O. Box 8774, 11th Floor, Harrisburg, PA 17105-8774, (717) 787-8184.
