[30 Pa.B. 5459] The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), Bureau of Recreation and Conservation has approved the ''Nine Mile Run Watershed Plan'' and is placing Nine Mile Run Watershed along with its tributary streams on the Pennsylvania Rivers Conservation Registry (Registry).
The City of Pittsburgh submitted the Nine Mile Run Watershed Plan and other required information to gain Registry status.
After review of the Plan and the other information, the DCNR has determined that PA Rivers Conservation Program requirements have been satisfied and places the following on the Registry:
* The Nine Mile Run Watershed from the confluence with the Monongahela River to its headwaters (6.5 square miles); and,
* All tributary streams within the watershed.
This action becomes effective today, October 21, 2000. Projects identified in the Nine Mile Run Watershed Plan become eligible for planning, development or acquisition grant funding through the DCNR Rivers Conservation Program.
A copy of the Final Plan is available for review at City of Pittsburgh, Department of City Planning, 200 Ross Street; 4th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15219, (412) 255-2206 and Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Rachel Carson State Office Building, 400 Market Street; 6th Floor, Harrisburg, PA 17105-8475, (717) 787-2316.
