Finding
[31 Pa.B. 489]
Allegheny County Pursuant to the provisions of 71 P. S. Section 2002(b), The Secretary of Transportation makes the following written finding:
The Federal Highway Administration and the Department of Transportation plan to widen and reconstruct approximately 207 meters (679 feet) of S.R. 0050 (Washington Avenue) from Chartiers Street to Hickman Street in Bridgeville Borough, Allegheny County.
The subject project will require right-of-way from the Cloussy Brothers property, which contains a structure that has been determined eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places and therefore qualifies as a Section 2002/Section 4(f) resource. There are no other features within the Cloussy Brothers parcel to act as contributing elements to the structure. The project would involve a 64.6 sq. meter (695 sq. ft.) portion of the 1,860 sq. meter (20,022.5 sq. ft.) parcel without affecting the structure. There are no other Section 2002/Section 4(f) resources within the project area. The proposed project will have no adverse effect on the resource.
The environmental, economic, social, and other effects of the proposed project as enumerated in Section 2002 of the Administrative Code, have been considered. It has been concluded that there is no feasible and prudent alternative to the project as designed and all reasonable steps have been taken to minimize such effects.
No adverse environmental effect is likely to result from this highway construction project.
BRADLEY L. MALLORY,
Secretary
