Receipt of Applications for Participation in Section 5310 Program (formerly known as Section 16 Program)
[31 Pa.B. 5415] The Department of Transportation, Bureau of Public Transportation, under the authority contained in Section 5310 of the Federal Transit Laws, 49 U.S.C. § 5310, gives notice that it will receive applications for the State-administered Section 5310 Program. Under this program, private non-profit organizations and designated public bodies may apply for Federal capital assistance to fund up to 80% of the purchase cost of new wheelchair accessible small transit vehicles and other equipment used to provide needed transportation services for senior citizens and persons with disabilities who cannot reasonably be accommodated by existing transportation providers. A Guidelines and Procedures package containing all application forms can be obtained by calling the Bureau of Public Transportation at (717) 787-7540.
