Application of St. Mary Medical Center for Exception

   Under 28 Pa. Code § 51.33 (relating to requests for exceptions), the Department of Health (Department) hereby gives notice that St. Mary Medical Center has requested an exception to the requirements of 28 Pa. Code § 571.1, which requires compliance with minimum standards contained in the following publication, ''Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospitals and Healthcare Facilities.'' St. Mary Medical Center requests exception from the following standards contained in this publication: Paragraph 7.10.F2, which requires the patient toilet ''accessible from the procedure room and from the corridor.''

   The request is on file with the Department. Persons may receive a copy of the request for exception by requesting a copy from: Pennsylvania Department of Health, Division of Acute and Ambulatory Care, Room 532 Health and Welfare Building, Harrisburg, PA 17120, Telephone: (717) 783-8980, Fax: (717) 772-2163, e-mail Address: DDITLOW@STATE.PA.US.

   Those persons who wish to comment on this exception request may do so by sending a letter by mail, e-mail or facsimile to the Division and address listed above.

   Comments received by the Department within 10 days after the date of publication of this notice will be reviewed by the Department before it decides whether to approve or disapprove the request for exception.
