Application of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for Exception
[32 Pa.B. 5578] Under 28 Pa. Code § 51.33 (relating to requests for exceptions), the Department of Health (Department) hereby gives notice that The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia has requested an exception to the requirements of 28 Pa. Code § 153.1 (relating to minimum standards), which requires compliance with minimum standards contained in the following publication: Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospital and Healthcare Facilities. The facility specifically requests exemption from the following standards contained in this publication: 7.3.E10 and Table 7.5 (relating to ceiling construction in the newborn intensive care units; and pediatric and adolescent unit).
These requests are on file with the Department. Persons may receive a copy of a request for exception by requesting a copy from the Department of Health, Division of Acute and Ambulatory Care, Room 532, Health and Welfare Building, Harrisburg, PA 17120, (717) 783-8980, fax (717) 772-2163, e-mail ra-paexcept@state.pa.us.
Those persons who wish to comment on an exception request may do so by sending a letter by mail, e-mail or facsimile to the Division and address listed previously.
Comments received by the Department within 10 days after the date of publication of this notice will be reviewed by the Department before it decides whether to approve or disapprove the request for exception.
