Pennsylvania Professional Liability Joint Underwriting Association; Filing for Rule Changes and Clarifications
[33 Pa.B. 5890] On November 3, 2003, the Insurance Department (Department) received a filing from the Pennsylvania Professional Liability Joint Underwriting Association (JUA) seeking approval to adopt revised rules for health care providers as follows:
* Rules regarding annual policies applicable to all new business as well as renewal business based on the renewal cycle where the MCARE Assessment is charged, effective on the first day of the month 50 days after the date of the approval.
The rule changes to accommodate annual policies pertain to administrative fees, service fees, installments, cancellations and minimum premiums.
* All other rules effective upon approval.
Copies of the filing will be available for public inspection, by appointment, during normal working hours at the Department's regional offices in Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Erie.
