PATIENT SAFETY AUTHORITY
Public Meeting
[33 Pa.B. 707] The Patient Safety Authority (Authority), established by section 303 of the Medical Care Availability and Reduction of Error Act (act) (40 P. S. § 1303.303), will hold a meeting of the Authority's 11 member board at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, February 10, 2003, in the Wildwood Conference Center, Harrisburg Area Community College, Harrisburg, PA.
The Authority Board (Board) invites comments from the public concerning practical and technical aspects of a mandated reporting system of serious events and incidents, currently under design, to meet requirements of the act. The Board is particularly interested in hearing comments related to best practices and to the processes and mechanisms used in similar reporting systems associated with patient safety and medical errors. Presentations will be limited to 10 minutes each. Electronic and multimedia presentations are discouraged. Persons may submit written testimony in lieu of an oral presentation. Interested speakers should contact the office of the Authority to schedule a specific time for their presentation.

Time permitting, unscheduled speakers may be given the opportunity to present oral comments. Presentations should include 15 printed copies of the remarks.
