Keystone Health Plan West, Inc.; Rate Filing

   On February 19, 2004, Keystone Health Plan West submitted filing no. 1-DPHMO-04-KHPW to increase the premium rates for its individual HMO plan. The filing requests a rate increase of about 15.0% of current premium, or an average of $51.03 per contract per month. This will affect about 11,000 contract holders and produce additional annual premium income of about $6.6 million. The requested effective date of the change is July 1, 2004.

   Copies of the filing are available for public inspection during normal working hours, by appointment, at the Insurance Department's regional office in Harrisburg.

   Interested parties are invited to submit written comments, suggestions or objections to Rashmi Mathur, Actuary, Bureau of Accident and Health Insurance, Insurance Department, 1311 Strawberry Square, Harrisburg, PA 17120 within 30 days after publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
