DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
Drug, Device and Cosmetic Board Meeting
[34 Pa.B. 2135] The Department of Health's Drug, Device and Cosmetic Board (Board) has scheduled a meeting for Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at 9 a.m. at 132 Kline Plaza, Suite A, Harrisburg, PA. The purpose of the meeting is for the Board to review petitions presented by the Office of Attorney General to schedule the following drugs as Schedule I Controlled Substances: TFMPP (1-(3-trifluoromethylphenyl)piperazine), BZP (N-Benzyl-piperazine), AMT (Alpha-Methyltryptamine), 2C-T-7 (2,5 dimethory-4-(N)-propylthiophenethylamine) and 5-MEO-DIPT (5-methoxy-N, N-diisopropyltryptamine). The petitions request that the drugs be scheduled as Schedule I Controlled Substances to reflect the current Federal schedule status. A Schedule I Controlled Substance has a high potential for abuse, no currently accepted medical use in the United States and lack of accepted safety for use without medical supervision.
For additional information, contact Carol Williams, Director, Bureau of Community Program Licensure and Certification, (717) 783-8665.
Persons with a disability who require an alternative format of this notice (for example, large print, audiotape, or Braille) should contact Carol Williams, (717) 783-8665, for speech and/or hearing impaired persons, V/TT (717) 783-6514 or the Pennsylvania AT&T Relay Services at (800) 654-5984.
