Middle Delaware River Conservation Plan
[35 Pa.B. 661] The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), Bureau of Recreation and Conservation has approved the Middle Delaware River Conservation Plan (Plan) and is placing all river segments and tributaries covered in the Plan in Northampton and Bucks Counties on the Pennsylvania Rivers Conservation Registry (Registry).
The Heritage Conservancy (Conservancy) submitted the Plan and other required information to gain Registry status.
After review of the Plan and other information, the DCNR has determined that the Pennsylvania Rivers Conservation Program (Program) requirements have been satisfied and places the following on the Registry:
* The following river segment located from north to south: from the boundary of Lower Mount Bethel Township and Forks Township, Northampton County to the Dyers Creek Watershed's southernmost boundary in Lower Makefield Township, Bucks County.
* The following river segment located from east to west: from the prominent ridgeline on the west bank of the Delaware River in Forks Township, Northampton County to the prominent ridgeline on the west bank of the Delaware River at the boundary of Upper and Lower Makefield Townships in Bucks County extending east tothe boundary line of the Delaware River between the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey--an area of 105.12 square miles.
* The following tributaries within the study area:
* Frys Run in Williams Township, Northampton County.
* Rodges Run in Durham Township, Bucks County.
* Gallows Run in Nockamixon Township, Bucks County.
* Wildcat Hollow Run in Nockamixon and Bridgeton Townships, Bucks County.
* Falls Creek in Bridgeton Township, Bucks County.
* High Falls Creek in Bridgeton Township, Bucks County.
* Mine Spring Creek in Bridgeton Township, Bucks County.
* Swamp Creek in Bridgeton, Nockamixon and Tinicum Townships, Bucks County.
* Smithtown Creek in Tinicum Township, Bucks County.
* Hickory Creek in Plumstead Township, Bucks County.
* Cuttaloosa Creek in Solebury Township, Bucks County.
* Primrose Creek in Solebury Township, Bucks County.
* Rabbit Run in Solebury Township, Bucks County.
* Aquetong Creek in New Hope Borough and Solebury Township, Bucks County.
* Pidcock Creek in Buckingham, Solebury, Wrightstown and Upper Makefield Townships, Bucks County.
* Jericho Creek in Wrightstown and Upper Makefield Townships, Bucks County.
* Houghs Creek in Newtown and Upper Makefield Townships in Bucks County.
* Dyers Creek in Upper Makefield and Lower Makefield Townships in Bucks County.
* All unnamed tributaries that flow directly into the Delaware River within the study area.
This action takes effect January 29, 2005. Projects identified in the Plan become eligible for implementation, development or acquisition grant funding through the Program.
