Humana Insurance Company Application for Approval of Revised Rates for Standardized Medicare Supplement Policy Forms PA-MESA, PA-MESB, PA-MESC, PA-MESF and PA-MESF (HD); Rate Filing

[Saturday, January 20, 2007]The Humana Insurance Company has filed for approval increased rates for its standardized Medicare supplement policy forms. The filing requests a rate increase of 28.7% for each policy form. These rate adjustments will affect approximately 3,345 insureds in this Commonwealth, and will generate approximately $1.4 million in additional premium annually. The company requests that the revised rates take effect on March 1, 2007.
Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to April 4, 2007, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.

Copies of the filing are also available for public inspection, by appointment, during normal working hours at the Insurance Department's offices in Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
