Application for Approval of a Proposed Merger

[Saturday, September 22, 2007]Keystone State Life Insurance Company, a domestic stock life insurance company, has filed an application for approval to merge with Wilton Reassurance Life Company of New York, a New York domiciled stock life insurance company, with Wilton Reassurance Life Company of New York surviving the merger. The filing was made under the requirements set forth under the Insurance Holding Companies Act (40 P. S. §§ 991.1401--991.1413), 15 Pa.C.S. §§ 1921--1932 (relating to merger, consolidation, share exchanges and sale of assets) and the GAA Amendments Act of 1990 (15 P. S. §§ 21101--21208). Persons wishing to comment on the merger are invited to submit a written statement to the Insurance Department (Department) within 7 days from the date of this issue of the Pennsylvania Bulletin. Each written statement must include name, address and telephone number of the interested party, identification of the application to which the statement is addressed and a concise statement with sufficient detail and relevant facts to inform the Department of the exact basis of the statement.
