[Saturday, July 12, 2008]On May 30, 2008, the State Board of Pharmacy (Board) suspended the license of Nasser Mahmud, license no. RP-043275-L, of Beltsville, MD, until he submits proof of completion of 30 hours of ACPE continuing education, publicly reprimanded his license and assessed a $3,000 civil penalty based on findings that he failed to complete 30 hours of continuing education as required by the Board's regulations and that he procured a license through fraud, misrepresentation or deceit, by falsely indicating that he had 30 hours of ACPE approved continuing education.
Individuals may obtain a copy of the order of suspension by writing to Carole L. Clarke, Board Counsel, State Board of Pharmacy, P. O. Box 2649, Harrisburg, PA 17105-2649.
This order of suspension represents the final Board decision in this matter. It may be appealed to the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania by the filing of a petition for review with that court in accordance with the Pennsylvania Rules of Appellate Procedure. Individuals who take an appeal to the Commonwealth Court must serve the Board with a copy of a petition for review. The Board contact for receiving service of the appeals is the previously-named Board counsel.
