Wireless E-911 State Plan; Comment Period

[Saturday, May 9, 2009]Under section 2 of the Public Safety Emergency Telephone Act (35 P. S. § 7021.2), the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (Agency) gives notice that the Statewide Wireless E-911 Plan (E-911 Plan) providing for all aspects of the development, implementation, operation and maintenance of a Statewide integrated wireless E-911 system in accordance with the FCC E-911 Order has been amended and is available for public notice and opportunity to comment.
The E-911 Plan is on file with the Agency. Persons may receive a copy of the E-911 Plan by requesting a copy from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, Bureau of 9-1-1 Programs, 2605 Interstate Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17110, (717) 651-2001, fax (717) 651-2040 or rwentzel@state.pa.us.
Persons who wish to comment may do so by sending a letter by mail, e-mail or facsimile to the address listed previously.
Comments received by the Agency within 30 days after the date of publication of this notice will be reviewed by the Agency before it decides whether to approve or disapprove the E-911 Plan.
