Pennsylvania Sunshine Program; Public Meeting Notice

[Saturday, September 5, 2009]The Department of Environmental Protection (Department) announces a public meeting to discuss improvements to the Pennsylvania Sunshine Program (Program). On September 18, 2009, the Department will host a public discussion on the Program guidelines. This meeting will be held from 10 a.m.—12 p.m. in Room 105 of the Rachel Carson State Office Building, 400 Market Street Harrisburg, PA 17105. This incentive program is for homeowners and small businesses undertaking solar energy projects. In May 2009, the Program began to provide $100 million in rebates, to Commonwealth homeowners and small businesses to purchase and install solar photovoltaic and solar hot water systems. The Department is seeking suggestions for ways to improve upon the existing program. The existing Program guidelines are available on the Department's web site at www.depweb.state.pa.us/pasunshine.
