The principal items of work and approximate quantities include mobilization and demobilization; clearing and grubbing; 800,610 cubic yards of grading; 700 cubic yards of channel excavation; 1,850 square yards of rock lining with filter fabric; 1,170 square yards of erosion matting; 85 linear foot of pipe culvert; 24" diameter smooth interior corrugated polyethene, two permanent ponds; 5,150 linear foot subsurface drain, wetland construction; and 70 acres of seeding. This bid issues September 3, 2010, and bids will be opened on September 30, 2010, at 2 p.m. Bid documents cost $15 per set and will not be mailed until payment has been received. This project is financed by the Federal government under the authority given it by the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (act) (30 U.S.C.A. §§ 1201—1328), and is subject to the act, and to the Federal Grant for this project.
