Pennsylvania Compensation Rating Bureau; Workers' Compensation Loss Cost Filing; Rate Filing

[Saturday, December 11, 2010]On November 30, 2010, the Insurance Department (Department) received from the Pennsylvania Compensation Rating Bureau (PCRB) a filing for a loss cost level change for Workers' Compensation insurance. This filing is made in accordance with section 705 of the act of July 2, 1993 (P.L. 190, No. 44). The PCRB requests an overall 0.87% increase in collectible loss costs, effective April 1, 2011, on a new and renewal basis. Also, the PCRB has calculated the Employer Assessment Factor effective April 1, 2011, to be 1.88%, as compared to the currently approved provision of 2.07%. Updates to a variety of other rating values to reflect the most recent available experience are also being submitted for approval.
