The principal items of work and approximate quantities include mobilization and demobilization; implementation of the erosion and sediment control plan; grading 174,500 cubic yards; clearing and grubbing; channel excavation 630 cubic yards; erosion matting 830 square yards; r-3 rock lining 55 square yards; r-4 rock lining 435 square yards; subsurface drain 450 linear feet; surface conveyance pipe 220 linear feet; replacement wetland-seed mix 5 pounds; access road replacement material 164 tons; tree planting 500 trees; and seeding 17 acres. This bid issues August 26, 2011, and bids will be opened on September 22, 2011, at 2 p.m. Bid documents cost $10 per set and will not be mailed until payment has been received. This project is financed by the Federal government under the authority given it by the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (act) (30 U.S.C.A. §§ 1201—1308) and is subject to the act and to the Federal grant for this project.
