Progressive Advanced Insurance Company; Progressive Preferred Insurance Company; Progressive Specialty Insurance Company; Private Passenger Automobile; Rate Revisions

 On August 22, 2011, the Insurance Department (Department) received from Progressive Advanced Insurance Company, Progressive Preferred Insurance Company and Progressive Specialty Insurance Company a filing for rate level changes for private passenger automobile insurance.

 The companies request an overall 4.7%, 5.5% and 5.5% increase amounting to $3.558 million, $1.578 million and $5.418 million, respectively, to be effective October 28, 2011, for new business and December 7, 2011, for renewals. These overall figures represent an average; the effect of this filing on the rates for individual consumers may vary.

 Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to October 21, 2011, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.
