Stream Redesignation Evaluations; Water Quality Standards Review

[Saturday, May 26, 2012]Under 25 Pa. Code § 93.4b(a)(2)(ii) (relating to qualifying as High Quality or Exceptional Value Waters), the Department of Environmental Protection (Department) gives notice that it is undertaking evaluations of data submitted to the Department by the Fish and Boat Commission (Commission) pertaining to stream segments added to the Commission's Class A list. The Commission is requesting that 50 stream segments throughout this Commonwealth that meet their requirements for Class A Wild Trout Waters be redesignated as High Quality—Cold Water Fishes (HQ-CWF).

These assessments may lead to recommendations to the Environmental Quality Board for redesignation.
Data should be submitted to Tony Shaw, Division of Water Quality Standards, Bureau of Point and Non-Point Source Management, P. O. Box 8774, Harrisburg, PA 17105-8774, tshaw@pa.gov.
