Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Company; The First Liberty Insurance Corporation; Homeowners; Rate Revision

[Saturday, June 2, 2012]On May 18, 2012, the Insurance Department (Department) received from Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Company and The First Liberty Insurance Corporation a filing for a rate level change for homeowners insurance.
The companies request an overall 8.5% increase amounting to $8,633,877 to be effective on October 14, 2012, for renewal business only. This overall figure represents an average; the effect of this filing on the rates for individual consumers may vary.
Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to June 17, 2012, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.
