THE GOVERNOR
[42 Pa.B. 3126]
[Saturday, June 2, 2012]
Notice of Veto May 18, 2012
To the Honorable Senate
of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania:I am returning, without my approval, Senate Bill 342, Printer's No. 549. I regret having to do so. However, I feel compelled to do so because of certain language contained in the bill.
Although there are many positive aspects of the bill, it also contains a provision that increases the per diem allowance for members of the State Board of Occupational Therapy Education and Licensure. Such a per diem increase would be in addition to the reimbursement that members of the Board receive for reasonable expenses. Since I find this provision objectionable, I am returning Senate Bill 342, Printer's No. 549, with my noted objection.
