Service of Notice of Motor Carrier Applications

[Saturday, February 4, 2012]The following temporary authority and/or permanent authority applications for the right to render service as a common carrier or contract carrier in this Commonwealth have been filed with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. Formal protests and petitions to intervene must be filed in accordance with 52 Pa. Code (relating to public utilities). A protest shall indicate whether it applies to the temporary authority application, the permanent authority application, or both. Filings must be made with the Secretary, Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, P. O. Box 3265, Harrisburg, PA 17105-3265, with a copy served on the applicant by February 21, 2012. Documents filed in support of the applications are available for inspection and copying at the Office of the Secretary between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and at the business address of the respective applicant.
Applications of the following for approval to begin operating as common carriers for transportation of persons as described under each application.
A-2011-2269265. Andre Entertainment, LLC, t/a Late Nite Loop (28 Devonshire Drive, Wyomissing, PA 19610), for the right to begin to transport as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, persons in experimental service, limited to persons who frequent businesses licensed to serve alcoholic beverages, for the prevention of driving while intoxicated, point to point in Berks County.
A-2011-2279350. Providence Township Ambulance Association, Inc., t/a South End EMS (14 Pennsy Road, New Providence, Lancaster County, PA 17560)—in paratransit service, using wheelchair and stretcher vans, as well as the transportation of persons who are unable to drive because of age, infirmity and/or due to personal convictions which prevent them from owning or operating motor vehicles, or those who require transportation for medically relevant purposes, from points in New Providence, Lancaster County, and within an airline distance of 60 statutory miles of the municipality, to points in Pennsylvania, and return.
Subject to the following condition:
Except for transporting persons whose personal convictions prevent them from owning or operating motor vehicles, applicant has no right, power or privilege to originate service in the following communities in Lancaster County: East Lampeter Township, the City of Lancaster, Lancaster and Manor Townships, Millersville and Strasburg Boroughs, Strasburg Township, Adamstown and Akron Boroughs, Brecknock and Caernarvon Townships, Terre Hill and Denver Boroughs, East Cocalico Township, Ephrata Brorough, Ephrata, Clay, West Cocalico, West Earl, Earl and East Earl Townships, Lititz Borough, Manheim Township, New Holland Borough, Warwick Township, Elizabethtown Borough, West Donegal Township (not including the Village of Rheems), Mount Joy Township (not including southeast of Ridge Road) and East Donegal Township (not including the portion of the Township north of Donegal Spring Road). A-2011-2279350. We Care Wheelchair Transportation, LLC (P. O. Box 10381, Pittsburgh, PA 15234)—in paratransit service, restricted to service for persons who are wheelchair bound, from points in Butler and Washington Counties, to points in Pennsylvania, and return; excluding areas under the jurisdiction of the Port Authority of Allegheny County.
Applications of the following for the approval of the right and privilege to discontinue/abandon operating as common carriers by motor vehicle and for cancellation of the certificate of public convenience as described under each application.
A-2011-2272803. Dennis A. Boyko (113 East Mt. Vernon Street, Oxford, Chester County, PA 19363), for the discontinuance of service and cancellation of his Certificate of Public Convenience as a common carrier by motor vehicle issued October 2, 2006, at A-00122599, to transport, as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, persons in paratransit service, limited to persons whose personal convictions prevent them from owning or operating motor vehicles, from points in the County of Lancaster and that portion of Chester County west of Route 10, to points in Pennsylvania, and return.
A-2011-2273333. Central Penn Travell, LLC (233 Bunny Lane, Palmyra, Dauphin County, PA 17078), a limited liability corporation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for discontinuance of service and cancellation of its Certificate as a common carrier, persons in group and party service, in vehicles seating 11 to 15 passengers, including the driver, from points in the Counties of Dauphin, Perry, Lebanon and Schuylkill, to points in Pennsylvania, and return; excluding areas under the jurisdiction of the Philadelphia Parking Authority.
